Un análisis ha encontrado en la vacuna infantil Infarix Hexa hasta 65 sustancias ajenas a la composición original declarada por los fabricantes y ni rastro de los antígenos contra los que supuestamente inmuniza, desveló una organización italiana el 16 de diciembre.
La organización independiente Corvelva realizó un estudio químico de la vacuna contra la difteria, tétanos, tosferina, hepatitis B, poliomelitis y hemofilia tipo b fabricada por GlaxoSmithKline y encontró hasta 65 sustancias que no se declaraban en el prospecto y sin embargo, ninguno de los antígenos contra los que supuestamente se inmuniza.
“Los toxoides son creados por tratamientos con formaldehído y glutaraldehído que deben eliminar la toxicidad manteniendo intacta su capacidad para estimular los anticuerpos protectores contra las toxinas originales”, aseguran en el informe del análisis.
“Esperábamos encontrar los tres toxoides y los otros antígenos no modificados por el tratamiento con formaldehído y glutaraldehído, para separar los antígenos entre sí y para ser digeribles por la enzima específica para las proteínas (tripsina)”, afirman.
Sin embargo, aseguran que no solo no encontraron antígenos de la vacuna, sino que detectaron 65 signos de contaminantes químicos de los cuales solo se conoce el 35%.
Infarix Hexa
“Existen entre estos diversos residuos de procesamiento y contaminaciones cruzadas de otras líneas de fabricación, y su identificación se verificará durante la segunda Nivel del estudio analítico (es decir, con controles estándar)”, prosiguen.
Los científicos también encontraron 7 toxinas químicas, probablemente derivadas de contaminantes químicos del proceso de fabricación.
El estudio se ha financiado en parte con donaciones de la Orden Nacional de Biólogos (ONB) de Italia que considera que estudios de seguridad independientes de las vacunas son muy necesarios.
El presidente de ONB, Vincenzo D’Anna, le dijo a la revista científica Nature en una entrevista que existe la necesidad de una investigación de vacunas verdaderamente independiente porque, en su opinión, el trabajo realizado en laboratorios públicos y en universidades generalmente está influenciado o financiado por compañías que producen vacunas.
“El objetivo es contribuir a completar los análisis biológicos y químicos de las vacunas”, explicó D’Anna en la entrevista, parte de la cual la ONB ha publicado en su Boletín.
Ya en 2013 un documento confidencial de la sección belga del fabricante de Infarix Hexa, GSK, filtrado a la prensa desveló que un estudio de comercialización reconocía 36 posibles muertes y 2.408 casos de efectos adversos de bebés que recibieron la vacuna en un período de dos años.
El mismo documento reconoce que no tomaron acciones antes estos datos por temor a que su autorización para seguir comercializando la vacuna se viera afectada.
MEDIDAS ADOPTADAS POR EL FABRICANTE POR RAZONES DE SEGURIDAD
Durante el periodo considerado, no se han tomado medidas por motivos de seguridad en relación con la retirada, el rechazo, la suspensión o la no renovación de una autorización de comercialización; tampoco se han producido modificaciones de la dosis, cambios en la población destinataria, cambios en la formulación, restricciones en la distribución o suspensión de ensayos clínicos.
“Estamos investigando la eficacia y la seguridad de las vacunas y no podemos entender cómo es posible afirmar que esta vacuna puede generar los 6 anticuerpos protectores, -para lo que está diseñada- y pensar que este grupo de 6 antígenos neurotóxicos unidos puede ser considerado como no tóxico para los recién nacidos”, declara la organización Corvelva.
“Infanrix Hexa hexavalent, en cuanto al método que hemos encargado, arroja grandes dudas sobre su eficacia y su seguridad”, añaden.
El comité de salud del Senado italiano actualmente está debatiendo dos proyectos de ley que cambiarían la ley de vacunas obligatorias de 2017.
“Necesitamos llevar nuestros resultados a los políticos, ahora que están redactando una legislación sobre vacunaciones obligatorias”, dice un representante de Corvelva a la revista Nature.
